[Audio LAB Recommended 2024-2025 High-End] High-End Floorstanding Speaker of The Year -- Magico S5 (2024 Version)
Improving from the Magico S3 (2023 Version) - winner of Audio LAB Recommended Product of The Year 2023 - was not an easy task. However, Magico S5 2024 not only accomplished this but brought experiences far beyond expectations, redefining standards in the high-end segment.
The Magico S5 inherits technological excellence from the S3 2023 with Gen 8 Nanotec drivers and a 28mm Beryllium tweeter from the flagship M Series. The difference lies in the size of the mid-woofer, bass woofer, and cabinet. These seemingly simple changes create an important step forward in sound reproduction.
Magico S5 maintains that magical characteristic in reproducing instruments and vocals with high accuracy, precise timing, and refinement. However, the most surprising aspect is the depth of space and layering capability that surpasses even the S3 - which was already one of the outstanding products in the high-end world. The S5's bass control and imaging capabilities also reach a new level.
Despite having a significantly higher price than the S3 and the previous S5 MkII generation, the Magico S5 2024 fully justifies its value by competing on par with the leading ultra high-end speakers. The perfect combination of tonal accuracy, spatial depth, and technical precision has made the S5 the top choice for Audio LAB Recommended High-End Floor-standing Speakers in 2024-2025
