[Audio LAB Recommended 2024-2025 High-End] High-End CD/SACD Player of The Year -- Luxman D-10X
In the digital age, CD and SACD players are becoming increasingly rare. However, the Luxman D-10X emerges as a perfect bridge between two worlds: both an Ultra-High-End CD/SACD player and a modern standalone DAC. This combination meets the needs of both traditional CD music lovers and modern digital audio enthusiasts.
At the heart of the D-10X is the unique combination of ROHM's Dual BD34301EKV DACs and the ONDF-u (Original Negative Distortion Feedback - ultimate) analog output circuit - feedback technology shared from Luxman's top-of-the-line amplifiers. The disc drive mechanism is considered the soul of any CD/SACD player, and the LxDTM-I demonstrates a background noise level and stability that can compete with current leading ultra-high-end devices.
The D-10X impresses with its ability to perfectly balance seemingly opposing elements: rich in detail without being dry, easy to listen to and gentle yet full of dynamics, accurate in speed and timing without being rushed. In particular, the device has a special ability to reveal the emotions of each recording, enabling listeners to immerse themselves in music for hours on end without experiencing fatigue.
The Luxman D-10X is proof that a traditional device can still shine in the digital age. With the combination of ultra-high-end technology and faithful music reproduction, the D-10X deserves to be the Audio LAB Recommended High-End Disc Player of The Year 2024-2025.
